DAY AGAINST VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

Friday 25 November will be the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, an anniversary established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1999.

The purpose of this day is to remember the victims of mistreatment, abuse and femicide and to fight discrimination and gender inequalities.

The color red was chosen against violence against women as it is a symbol of love, of passion that turns into evil and violence, a symbol of morbid possession that becomes a deadly trap and a symbol of femininity which unfortunately, today, too often is violated.

Benches and red shoes are the symbols of the fight against gender violence.

The red benches, color of the blood, are the symbol of the place occupied by a woman who no longer exists, taken away by violence.

The red shoes, born in 2009 from an idea by the Mexican artist Elina Chauvet as an installation to denounce abuse of women and feminicide, have since become the symbol of the fight for women's rights and against gender violence and are lined up in squares or public places, to represent the victims of violence.

The Ramo srl embraces this important topic and wants to raise awareness among all employees so that everyone in their own small way can make a contribution to improving society; for the entire week before November 25th the red ribbon will be present on company emails which represents the company's commitment to the important ongoing campaign.
