A life-saving device has recently been installed in the company, that is the semi-automatic external defibrillator (AED) which is able to recognize an alteration in the rhythm of the heart rate and to deliver an electric shock directed to the heart, resetting the beat and subsequently restoring the rhythm.
The device - HeartStart HS1 - includes Philips patented, consolidated technologies for heart rhythm assessment (SMART Analysis) and defibrillation energy delivery (SMART Biphasic); thanks to the patented QuickShock technology, it is the fastest in delivering the shock. The device is easy to use, requires no medical personnel: it is reliable, simple to use and intuitive thanks also to the voice commands it is equipped with during the first aid phases.
In case of use, the defibrillator records everything that happened: the data will then be downloaded and provided to the competent authorities.
Ramo srl wanted to equip itself with the device described above to give an important service to its workforce but also to the community itself: the presence of the AED, infact, was declared to the competent body, indicating the place of location and hourly availability in which the defibrillator is at the service of the community in case of need.
Furthermore, within the company, there are employees who have attended the first aid course and are in charge of providing first aid to colleagues in the event of any injury.
